In my younger days when DJ’s still spun vinyl I spun vinyl in a very popular club overseas. It was a wonderful experience and I learned a lot from some real professionals in mixing music along with improvising mixer music to help transition from song to song. But hey that was 20 years ago folks and I am at this point out of the loop. I go into clubs that the 20 something crowds are going now and I will be honest I think we had better dance mixes. But what do I know it’s a new generation. But I try to stay current with the latest trends in that I get to travel to a lot of countries and experience the music being played outside the United States.
I am struggling though to find enough “good” music that is not RIAA controlled to have a decent mix each show. If you have suggestions show me the way.
