Sun Microsystems has sent a letter to customers that I tend to agree with. With Microsoft dropping support for Windows 98 it leaves me in a predicament. My kids computer is not fast enough to support XP but yet I let them surf the net with it knowing that between the physical firewall and ZoneAlarm that it is pretty well protected but with no further patches to be made available if something truly nasty pops up in cyberland then the machine and my entire network is vulnerable. This will mean a trip to the computer store to pick up XP just so it can be patched win MS finds more holes. [ZDnet]
