What is it with me and Computer Power supplies. I had a second power supply let the smoke out of itself in as many months. Different computers but generally same sympthom BANG then a funny smell in the air. I am out of my last spare so time to look for a ready spare. Best part it happened in the dark of night so I only had a small light on in the office so I got to see the flash from under the desk. HA

I had a Power Supply go out on my PC this week too. It was a 430 watt supple that just stopped, no smoke, nothing, I thought it may have been something more serious, but I went to Best Buy and picked up a 400 Watt Enermax and it’s running fine. Power supplies seem to be the most troublesome of all PC parts.
