I have advocated kid safe podcasts here at Geek News Central and it is one of those guidelines we put in place to TechPodcasts.com. Obviously talking tech we get into a lot of provactive comments and I have to concentrate real hard on not saying naughty words. Plus I have contributed a few eyebrow raising comments around the water cooler before that I have regretted later so a few years under my belt has allowed me to be above such commentary.
Thus when I hear someone say he or she is going to boycott listening to my show because it’s kid safe it makes me smile. I find it comical so much in fact, that I am not going to give the individual the decency of a link to his post, because anyone that thinks creating kid safe content is somehow bad is probably no more than a kid himself.
I agree that even though I am an adult in my late 20’s, I value the clean, wholesome, informative podcast, and specifically avoid the raunchy ones. It’s so obvious that if you have to get dirty and use foul language that you really don’t have a lot of content to begin with. Thanks GNC for producing an informative, wonderful, family-safe tech news resource! Keep up the good work! -Brian Hall
Thank you for creating kid safe podcast shows. It is actually one of the things that I look for when I subscribe to a podcast, and it makes it much easier to listen to as well if my two and a half year old son is awake and around.
