I have been watching my servers for the past 24 hours and I can tell you one thing the e-mail servers have been getting slammed. Luckily previous filters put in place have killed all of the messages coming in that contain the SoBig worm. My servers are not the only ones feeling the strain the attack is global.
People trying to retrieve e-mail are getting slammed when they attempt to download thousands of messages accumulating in there in-boxes. Hopefully the e-mail storm will subside in a few days meanwhile keep the hatches battened down. [BBC] [WERBLOG] [Scripting News]
