I was very Sad to see Art Bell retire from Talk Radio that man was the number 1 reason I did not get enough sleep every night. His recent departure has caused many fans to get there first sleep in years. The show has been taken over by a new host who was hand picked by Art. But no matter how hard the new host tries he will never match the charisma that Art had with his audience and guest. [www.coasttocoastam.com]

Ihave had more sleep with Art retirement but I would much rather lose the sleep…If we could somehow at least have Art back more often I for one would not miss the lost sleep. I still listen but seem to fall asleep anyway. It isn’t George it just isn’t Art. I also like the updates on the cats.

I also miss Art Bell as I was an avid listener.
There is no one on radio who has his depth of understanding and his genuine curiousity. He never disrespected his listeners and gave them the same respect as his guest. His choice of guest were electic and electric! From Physics professors, science fiction writers, to those who discussed contemporary scientific theories, as well as those theories beyond the beyond! It was never, never dull. Art spoke with great intellect, but also had great compassion for all, and a quick sense of humor. He loved 1st time callers and devoted late night truck drivers rambling across the U.S.
Art always critically questioned his quests ideas. He was well read. He didn’t have to hang with them afterwork. By choosing interesting genus level guests who could masterfully speak in layman terms, he opened our minds in so many ways. Remember the time-travel professor? Wow! Art Bell knew how to get difficult concepts out of his guests that listeners could understand. He insisted that his guests not lose us the listeners or they would not be invited back. I loved that as a former teacher/artist.
In my cold room late at night, Art’s program would transport me to the mysteries of multi-universes which I could visualize as I drifted off to sleep in a state of wonder.
NOT LIKE The MILK-SOP REPLACEMENT. IF ART DID ONE THING WRONG IT WAS NOT LOOKING HARDER FOR A BETTER REPLACEMENT.
Art shared his life with us authentically. His music choices were trippy and his cultural sensibilities were sophisticated but never pretentious. Always enlightning. COME BACK ART BELL MOVEMENT- WHERE DO I SIGN?

Art is a very smart man. By picking George as his replacement, he maintains his throne as the king late night talk radio. Don’t get me wrong, I think George is doing a fair job as the host of coast to coast AM, but it’s clear he’s no Art Bell.

I suggest (correct spelling, Allan) that you get “Hooked on Phonics!” That way, what you write just might be taken a little more seriously than what it is now! Obviously, the number of misspelled words are a great source of amusement to everyone at Geek News Central, otherwise, your several examples of all the misspelled words wouldn’t (would not) have been left intact and left up for as long as they have!

Allan, CHECK (instead of cheak–at least you didn’t spell it ‘cheek!’) out Hooked on Phonics! Do you see the words you read misspelled this way? They’re (they are) NOT written that way! Don’t you DARE use “their” except to mean, for example, “their website.”

THEY’RE= “they are…” The apostrophe takes the place of the “a.” They’re a great bunch of people!

WASN’T= “was not.” The apostrophe takes the place of the “o.” That wasn’t my intention.

SIGHT= as in “to see.” What a sight!

SITE= as in “website!” I like this website!

GEEK’S= plural use of the work, i.e., “Geek’s News.” “Geek’s website.”

GEEKS= meaning more than 1 of ’em, i.e., “you geeks!” You geeks ought to gear a website more towards geek’s interests, you know?

Need I go on? Tired of this, yet? Learn to spell, man! You just might be taken more seriously than you are now! And, I KNOW you want to be taken seriously! Wouldn’t you like to be a REAL geek instead of a wanna-be? Please learn to spell! Words DO mean things–in order for them to have their full impact, they must be spelled correctly!

This will really (realy) make a big difference in your life, if you apply yourself and master it! You’ll be a success! (suscess)
