Cyberbegging

Not sure why it took the AP Writer so long to pick up on this but it seems more sites are picking up on the art of asking for money. Heck we even have a donation link on our page not that I expect it to ever produce anything. Some have had shameless pleas that have actually earned them some money.

It reminds me of when we asked for donations for our dial-up BBS. I think over the span of 10 years I may have collected a $100.00 dollars in donations. When we forced people to pay for the access I actually was able to cover expenses. But they still bitched when we made them pay $2.00 a month for premium services and we were the only game in town. We did not have literally a million other sites to compete with. Everyone dreams of winning the lottery or find money along the side of the road. What these cyberbeggers need to do that have accumulated massive credit card debt is get another job and suck it up. [Yahoo]

Has your blog had any donations? I’m not sure if Karyn actually reached her goal. It’s a moot point now. I have a list of cyberbeggars. I think it may be loosing it’s novelty now since every site has a paypal donation button up. It might be better to have a blog than a site. I’m trying to get people to do blogs. It seems there’s a tradeoff between a site and a blog. People got frustrated when they didn’t make money in cyberbegging. They need to do blogs.

I gave the email to the site I listed. I agree with you, but I found an exception. This lady isn’t allowed to work!!
If that lady on TV got money to pay off shopping
credit cards, then people should awake and see there
are folks who actually needed the money more that they gave her!
This lady isn’t looking to be famous, she just needs a REAL hand!
Please pass it on. I donated two bucks,
plus got four bucks for getting
a free PayPal account! So it didn’t cost me.
