Windows Vista Activation Workaround Demonstration

It seems that bypassing Windows Vista activation is a very simple task. Tomorrow I will attend a demonstration that show shows the simple process. Brian Livingston from WindowsSecret.com will be presenting the workaround.

Netscape still dead in most peoples eyes

Saw a post by Jason Calacanis and I will be honest, I cannot agree with his assertion that Netscape is the mainstream version of Digg. With so many sites out there fighting for attention, there is nothing that I have seen at Netscape that has compelled to revisit the site more than a few times.

The 411 on Venture Firms

I have been told by at least a dozen people over the past year that some Venture Firms are downright evil. Well today is the day that Venture firms are going to have to start dealing with their reputation in public. A new site called “The Funded” is designed to give small companies an insight into their reputation and allow those that have been funded to essentially snitch them out.

632 E-mails replied to in one day!

Yes that is how many e-mails I responded to today! That is not normal believe you me, but this happens about every six months. The reason for the high number is complicated but easy to mitigate. Thus the reason for the post.

1 Billion Dollars who are they kidding

I have been down in the trenches working business stuff today, and when I came up to breath I saw the headline that Viacom is suing YouTube for a Billion Plus for copyright infringement.  My initial reaction was who are they kidding. The second reaction was well this sounds like a positioning move. By the response in the net I think some others also agree.

Looking to Replace Google Adsense

I am thinking about pulling Google Adsense of this website and wonder if any bloggers have a suggestion for a replacement service. I am sure some of you will say don’t replace just remove it.  If you have a suggestion drop me a e-mail geeknews@gmail.com

3GB of SXSW music

Jim Posner sends a link to a torrent of 3GB of music from the SXSW festival in Austin. All legal, non-infringing, a wonderful application of BT. I'm downloading it now, you should too.

Time to Fight the RIAA in the Media and Press!

The ongoing organised crime like tactics that the RIAA is employing to get settlements has to stop. Their settlement through intimidation process goes against all levels of corporate decency. While I do not agree with people stealing music I also feel people are afforded due process in this country.

Webcast Royalty Rate Increase Good for Podcasting

I know their are a lot of companies really in jeopardy of being financially destroyed by the decisions of the copyright royalty board. While I do not agree at all with the rate increase, and spoke out about it at length last night on my show. Feedback I am getting seems to indicate that a lot of Podcasters are looking at the decision as an opportunity to pick up significant listenership as a huge number of webcasters are forced out of business.
