These folks in my opinion truly don't get it, apparently on "James Governor's MonkChips" blog they requested formally that he take a "LINK" down from his site to not point at a specific URL so the key here is now companies are submitting cease and desist letters for linking to something that is on a public website. Pure stupidity on

Off to college you go with a Mobile that Tracks you!

I think it is great that colleges are giving up on old school land lines in favor of students having a school provided mobile phone. What I am not so excited about, is that some colleges are actually giving the college students phones to track their whereabouts so that they can be found in a emergency. As a parent, I

OpenDNS

I have been running the Domain Name Service IP of OpenDNS most of the day today, and must say that I am seeing a remarkable difference in page loads. This will add a layer of protection for that person in your family that your spending time educating on Internet security, yet still have to work on their computer on a

Podshow fixes RSS feeds!

As expected Podshow claimed it was a bug, and fixed it, but my opinion stands, if it was a bug it was pretty big deliberate programing bug you just don't strip and replace data with out writing some lines of code to do that. But they did the right thing and made the change. Post Updated.

Sites that respect Podcasters don’t Hijack RSS Feeds!

Nearly all of the podcasting sites out there today, respect Podcasters and their intellectual property to include, their branding, RSS feeds, direct links to there content, and everything else associated with publishing content on line. Over the past 18 months we have had one or two circumstances where podcasting sites were not being respectful, and through community pressure corrected their

What was Podshow Thinking Hijacking my RSS Feed!

First things First, if you have a Podcast that is listed on Podshow then you going to need to hope that people that visit that site dig around pretty deep to find a link to your home page, as it is buried beneath a couple layers of web pages. Currently there is no home page link on your show listing

Podshow+ The Unleash that is still leashed!

I fell pretty sorry for the crew over at Podshow, with an announced Launch date of July 4th people have been waiting to see what they have created now for 2 days! Considering all the time they have had to put it together, and the amount of money, and staff they have this thing better blow everyone out of the

Rocketboom R.I.P

Talk about the golden opportunity of a lifetime self destructing. It is obvious that some ego's got in the way and ultimately it was about control and money. To often people get in a pissing match and what ends up happening is a company or brand self destructs. If your not a fan of Rocketboom then it probably does not
