Roader is the wearable Time Machine Camera that records 10 seconds ago. It enables you to choose the moments you want to keep, savor, and share, even if they occure in the past. When you see something interesting, you press once on the camera and a video from 10 seconds ago and the following 10 seconds will be recorded and sent automatically to your smartphone, ready for social sharing.
Roader Time Machine Camera is the brainchild of Dutch entrepreneurs Sjored Pistra and Joost Godee. After a meteorite exploded in 2013 near Chelyabinsk in Russia’s Ural region, the idea was born for a camera that could capture exciting events of the recent past, without the need to record all the tedious events before and after. The Roader Time Machine Camera is now ready to be demonstrated to the public and will be launched over the course of 2018.
Any other camera starts recording forward in time. Roader Time Machine Camera enables you to capture the most beautiful, exciting and breath-taking moments even after they occurred. With Roader, you will get your eyes back and still never miss a moment to share.
When activated, Roader Time Machine Camera is not recording video. It is buffering video for a short period and only starts recording when you press the camera once. So you are not recording all the time when wearing your Roader. You just capture when you decide to secure a memorable moment.
Place your Roader camera in the Roader Car Dock and the recording settings will automatically change to Car Mode. When activated in Car Mode, recordings will be made of minus 10 seconds to plus 10 seconds. In Car Mode, you can record moments with the Roader Remote button.
Apart from moments recording, loop recordings of 3 minutes are made in Car Mode. The Roader camera will also record moments automatically when activated by the integrated G-sensor.
The Power Lanyard is a cord to wear your Roader camera and it has two functions. The first is a charging cable for your Roader camera. The second enables you to wear your Roader throughout your adventures.
You need to download the Roader app to use with your Roader camera. You need the app to receive and save your recordings.
