I am doing some initial test on the Tricaster tonight. This is a trial run as I wait for lights and some other gear to arrive.
Normally when I get a new computer I wipe it and install a clean version of the OS. No manufacturer specifics - just an Operating System I understand and can fix easily. It's a common IT practice and I am really content in doing it. My current laptop is a Lenovo R61. I decided to not wipe and install because
If you are a fan of Joss Whedon's work (Buffy, Angel, Firefly, etc), and I'm presuming there might be a few in the audience, then make sure you check out Dr Horrible's sing-a-long blog this weekend. The third episode is up now and the series is only going to be available for free until the end of Sunday. After this
I sure wish I knew what was going on at Dell. I've been working at the same J.O.B. for about eight years, and we are a Dell campus. Everything we buy is Dell, except for the small amount of Gateways I convinced a few divisions to buy several years back (most notably the Gateway Convertible M275 Notebook). So I deal

Firefox updated to 3.0.1 and 2.0.0.16 to fix some minor updates and one major one - if you have Safari and Firefox installed. The "Carpet bomb" opened up the gateway in which a remote machine could take control of the computer. Safari released a fix back in June to plug this hole on their side. Other fixes include CSS handling,
I wrote a week or so ago about Viacom's request for information on YouTube users, what they watched, and when. The biggest question in my mind, and in many others', was how to keep our privacy safe from Viacom. Apparently, both parties (Viacom and YouTube/Google) have agreed that when the date is turned over, it will be sufficiently anonymized. This
*NOTE: I made a couple slight corrections to highlight the points in this article. I am not siding with Apple nor Psystar. I am siding with the consumer for wanting an Apple machine at a decent price. Apple finally went for the Psystar Jugular as they not only filed a major lawsuit, but also want "All Open Computers Sold" recalled.
Absolute Monster Show and a large batch of listener feedback plus some NYC Apple Flagship Interviews mixed in as well. You all are keeping me jumping that is for sure. I am really excited to announce that Podcamp Hawaii will take place in late October. This event is going to be unique, in that it is going to be a combined Podcamp and Wordcamp. If you are looking for an excuse to come to Hawaii and make it a business deduction this is the event you will want to attend.
