I have only meet Leo in passing a couple of times but did not get a chance to talk to him at Podcast Expo about his Netcast idea. He was a Keynote Speaker at the Podcast and Portable Media Expo where he put forth the conceptual idea of promoting the word Netcast versus Podcast. My conclusion was that it was way too late in the game to re-name the media. 100% of the listeners / podcasters I have run this by also agree it is too late.
I received a IM from a member of our team at RawVoice. He was pretty upset. It seems a month or so ago he was having trouble with his hosting company HostForWeb.com so he asked me about virtual dedicated hosting servers over at GoDaddy. He was at a breaking point with HostForWeb.comfor what he thought was excessive unreliability so he decided he would buy a Virtual Dedicated over at GoDaddy and started moving his domains to that new server.
You did not forget that the Mars Rovers are still collecting valuable science. Well not only do we have a two Rovers on the ground but we also have the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter taking overhead pictures that are beyond compare of anything that has been taken of the red planet before.
Well the folks at Google and YouTube appear to be courting one another, I am not surprised as their are only a couple of players with enough money to buy the startup. Google also has infrastructure to handle the massive bandwidth bills. But will Google put up with questionable material on the site and continue to allow people to break copyright laws?
This is a review that is way overdue, I have had the software license for SageTV Media Center and SageTV Placeshifter over a month now, and when I got back from Expo Monday, I loaded it onto my Media Center PC. Many of you know that I am a big DVR fan and I have not watched live TV in months.

If your looking for a preview of what the Zune is going to offer and how the interface functions take a look at this presentation by on10.net. The mystery of whether of not Microsoft is going to join the party in getting podcasting integrated is looking pretty bleak at this point.
What is the deal with Technorati? It seems every time I go to that site and enter a search term their search is broken. I am finding more cross linked post via Google than Technorati. Has the blogsphere gotten so big that they cannot handle the task of indexing blogs.
During the past two weeks I have become to realize as many others have that are actively building podcast communities and also at the same time working on our own shows is that the general public at this point still has very little idea what a podcast is.
Seems that a few Bloggers are blogging in a way that is getting them brought into court to defend against Libel. With the explosions of bloggers today this should not come as any surprise.
At long last researchers have teleported the information stored in a beam of light into a cloud of atoms, which is about as close to getting beamed up by Scotty as we're likely to come in the foreseeable future. More practically, the demonstration is key to eventually harnessing quantum effects for hyperpowerful computing or ultrasecure encryption systems. [Scientific American]
