Well the FTC is at least doing one good thing for consumers this year and that is the launching of the do not call list. Starting July and ahead of schedule consumers can start registering for the do not call list and should start seeing relief by September.
I just wish that part of that 11,000 fine per incident would be returned to the consumer. We could kill the telemarketing industry overnight. There are some allowable calls intended to allow merchants that you do business with or have done business with to call within a reasonable time. [Yahoo]
