I have been sitting here today reading the torrent of mail in the podcaster mailing list, and reading commentary on weblogs across the planet and have realized a couple of things. I just checked my latest Libsyn Stats and downloads are through the roof. I am getting reports that sites like Dawn and Drew are down, servers have melted all over the podcasting sphere. Thus far this site which is hosted on a GoDaddy server has kept up and we have seen over 300,000 individual hits to this site alone today.

If you want to subscribe to the Geek News Central Podcast and use iTunes directly it is very easy. Download the version 4.9 update. Choose Podcast on the menu bar, then click on directory at the bottom followed by Technology, then news and scroll down and subscribe to our listing.
In Adam Curry's keynote at Gnomedex he made mention that on Tuesday or Wednesday of this week Apple would be releasing iTunes version 4.9 with podcasting support. I had to go back and re-listen to a Audio segment I recorded to make sure I heard him right but it's in their so expect some excitement tomorrow
