Schlage – Show Stoppers 2009

Ces-2009-schlageImagine a day when your latch key kids come home and unlock the door and the your cell phone receives a text message telling you that the kids have just arrived. Or what if someone has tried to mess with your lock would you not want to know that as well.

Schlage Z-WaveThat day is today the folks at Schlage have intelligent locks and other devices that use the Z-Wave technology to communicate with other devices in the home and through the integrated service allow you keep tabs on your home in ways that are truly remarkable

Installation is easy a novice can install this product. The baseline price for a starter kit that allows you to employ some of the coolest technology in a lock is $299.00 but you have to watch the video to get the full impact of what is possible.

GoTV Networks – Show Stoppers 2009

GoTVNetworksThe folks at GoTV Networks are making Video content in a magazine format for your mobile phone. You can checkout your favorite music, news, artist information.

Think of this service as having the Rolling Stone Magazine on your phone keeping you in touch with the music you love. Their is a monthly service fee that ranges in the $5.00 range per month.

Newber – Show Stoppers 2009

NewberFreedom Voice Systems has introduced a product called Newber which allows you to have a second phone number for your iPhone. What’s really cool is that you can redirect incoming calls to any phone dependent on where your location is using GPS technology.

You can also transfer a call from a land line to the iPhone or Blackberry with a touch of a button on the mobile phone or move the call to a land line. Amazing stuff thinking you can switch a call to another phone with a click of a button.

Sadly the folks at Apple have yet to approve there application in the App store. Of this writing they have been waiting over 140 days for the approval. It is a sad situation for a product that seems so useful and could add value to the iPhone.

Muvee – Show Stoppers 2009

Ces-2009-muveemuvee is probably the coolest services out there when it comes to video editing. The diversity in the muvee product line is simply amazing and is the first service I signed up for when I came home from CES.

From the muvee website they say “muvee Technologies is recognized internationally as the pioneer and leader in automatic video production. Automatic editing is now a feature in several video editing programs, but our approach is much more radical: automatic editing is at the very heart of our revolutionary approach to video production.”

With that this is one of the videos of the show you will not want to pass up. I walked away pretty stunned on what was possible and how easy it was to accomplish.

HughesNet – Show Stoppers 2009

HughesNetHughesNet keeps a lot for people in remote places connected to websites like this one. In fact without HughesNet many people would be restricted to dial up service.

HughesNet surprised us in announcing new minimum speeds and lower cost service for all of their new and existing customers. If you are in a remote location stuck on dial up and have a clear view of the Southern Sky you will want to see if HughesNet is the Broadband Internet Service for you.

The best part though is that they have special deals in place to get you started for as little as $100.00 and then your monthly fee. The cost has come down dramatically. More details on pricing and increased speed in the video Interview.
