Google Trends
A nice tool that Google launched today is called Google Trends although I am not overly impressed it does allow you to search and compare terms. This will be a good measure for companies that want to compare brands, specific products and any other combinations to see where the trend is for those terms in relation to search. [Google Trends]
AIM Pages not Impressive

Vonage goes after Canadian ISP Shaw Communications
Shaw Communications has been telling it's customers that if they are using a VOIP service that they should pay an additional $10.00 per month so that they can get optimized VOIP traffic. Vonage has requested technical information from Shaw on exactly what that $10.00 buys the consumer and what the optimization is. Thus far Shaw has not responded. So Vonage

The Internet Freeway May Become A Toll Road
There are no traffic cops on the internet. Until now, that is. If U.S. telecommunication companies have their way, we may have internet traffic cops, patrol cars, and a full police union. The traffic cops will direct the traffic, giving preferential treatment to a select few that are able to pay for the unimpeded toll lane. Those who are able to pay the toll will get faster service.
