Can’t remember if it was this episode or the previous one where you talked about testing the speed of your new ISP, and that you always look at alternatives to the well-known speed test sites because ISP’s tend to fast lane those. I recently switched ISP’s from AT&T to Charter and decided to do the same thing. Wouldn’t you know that popular speed testers such as Ookla showed I was getting 65Mb down but the alternative tests showed I was only getting about 15Mb down. That’s still more than double what I was getting from AT&T so I guess I can’t complain but it does make me wonder which tests I should trust.
