Last year Xi3 showed off a tiny modular computer that they were planning to bring to market, but now it’s actually available and there is some new software to make it even more capable. As the name implies, almost everything about these tiny computers can be swapped out easily to change their functionality. In addition, Xi3’s new software allows one of these little PC’s to power multiple users.
These computers pack a serious punch, with dual-core processors, 64-bit OS (either Windows or Linux), SSD storage, and they boast a Windows 7 Pro boot-up time of only 30 seconds.
They also showed off some new server solutions which are essentially the same as the modular desktop computer, but the ports on the back are somewhat different, as they are geared towards the server market. You really need to see the mobile data center they created on the CES floor with these tiny micro-servers, but you will have to watch the video below for that.
