Microsoft Axes Virtual PC For Mac

When I need to use Windows on my ibook I use either Virtual PC or Remote Desktop. This is not that often that I use this, but mostly when I study, I like to use my lap top and it’s easier to remote into my server. I was planning to continue to use Virtual PC on my new Macbook that I will be purchasing by December, but that is not possible now. My son has the new MacBook and loves it, (hint, hint, Todd :) and I did try to install this on his Mac and it didn’t work, I thought it was just me or the intel chip. I don’t think this will change my purchase by December, but I am not crazy about the idea of putting windows by way of boot camp on my new mac at all.

Bless You. I wondered if there was another product when I saw this article, but haven’t had chance to look. The irony in all this is according to the article is, Microsoft had a lot of problems with their code…but another company isn’t? Good for them.

Thank you so much, I will surely check that out!!

Have a look at Parallels or VMware – these do on an intel mac what Virtual PC does, but faster. Parallels is about us$80, and VMware is about to release a beta.
