Seeing and article over on Techdirt I was reminded of an incident that happened here. My sister lives here in Hawaii also, and my folks were in visiting from the mainland, my brother-in-law has a friend who happens to be a professional photographer. We did a family photo shot on the beach at daybreak. The pictures turned out spectacular. The photographer took a mix of digital and regular pictures.
When we were all done he had proofs created, and we decided on the ones we wanted printed. He had already delivered the negatives, and when we went to have them printed the photo store we went to refused saying they were copyrighted pictures. We ended up going to 4-5 places before we found someone that would print the photos.
Seems this is being a pretty common theme around the country. [Techdirt]
