TiVo’s new PC-viewing deliberately broken

Great Commentary out there on TiVo new product that they have introduced. I cannot say I am surprised that TiVo is adding technology to prevent consumers from having Fair Use of the media that they record. More companies are getting on the DRM bandwagon because organizations like the MPAA and RIAA are putting the squeeze on them. All of these

Senator wants VOIP to remain unregulated!

John Sununu a Republican Senator wants to keep VoIP unregulated. Wanting something and actually doing something to assure it will not be regulated is what I will be watching for. RIAA knocking at your Door?

Seems the RIAA is planning on sending the RIAA police out on patrol. Soon we will have a Federal Bureau of the Recording Industry. So don't be surprised when we see RIAA stenciled on the back of bullet proof vest alongside FBI and ATF. [TechDirt]

Spirit is one step closer to roving the red planet. The Rover was stood up and it's front legs extended and locked into place. Needless to say everyone over at JPL is very happy. [marsrovers.jpl.nasa.gov]

What is Mac OS X?

If you are a Windows user and have ever considered switching to a Mac you may have some nagging questions about exactly what are you going to get and what exactly is Mac OS X. I being a Windows user and having done my fair share of Mac bashing in the past found the article a interesting read. [www.kernelthread.com]
