RSS “Show us the Money”

With Technorati apparently securing 6.5 million in funding those in the RSS industry are sitting up and taking notice. Nice to see those that have embraced RSS technology and building cool tools getting the cash. Makes you wonder what is happening in the Atom front. [Wired]

The Corporate Weblog Manifesto by Robert Scoble

This document produced by Robert Scoble is a great read for any aspiring weblogger not to mention those that own companies that are running or thinking about running a corporate weblog. Great read and has been added to me permanent reading list. [The Corporate Weblog Manifesto]

Science being advanced by linking 150,000 home computers

The gang over at SETI without a doubt have 100's of thousands of computers using non utilized CPU cycles to look for ET. Now a scientist is using the same technology to give him more processing power than all of the super computers in the entire world. In my opinion if I new my non utilized processor power is going

MPAA sues DVD chip manufacture which apparently allowed Fair Use Recordiongs

Apparently a DVD manufacture in Taiwan was producing DVD players which outputs could be recorded. The MPAA does not like it when companies push the boundaries that allow consumers to have fair use of the data that they buy. I suppose some naysayer will say hey you don't buy music you license it. Well semantics aside I feel everyone should

One disk to Mediums CD on one side DVD on other

A group of record labels plan on introducing a disk that would be a CD on one side and an DVD on the other. This is so they can put one good song on one side and one good music video on the other and sell the rest of the junk for $39.95. Supposedly this is to allow artist a

MIcrosoft to open it’s own music store and challenge iTunes

I am all for competition in the market place but with Microsoft supposedly on the verge of launching it's own online music s I wonder what kind of restrictions they will bring to the market place with their new Digital Rights Management technology. [SiliconValley.com]
