I read tonight for the first time about Port Knocking. Seems Linux users have a way to keep the firewalls closed for a specific port unless the connector has the correct passcode by detecting connections to closed ports. So if you are running a FTP site that you want to keep under wraps but want to be able to access it when you need it port knocking is a way to keep the port closed to nosy unwanted visitors. whoops, that was planned for the onfolio post.
Have you used Opera web browser?
1) I love the tabbed browsing, and mouse gestures.
2) awesome bookmark features. Allows you to search your bookmarks title, url, description, etc as it matches.
I have several bookmarks that have “daily” in their description, so i just search for that. But what if i also want a “daily” bookmark to be a “news” bookmark? Instead of having a “Daily” and “News” folder, i just throw the keywords in the description and seach.
Cake.
