I have always been afraid of a virus that makes it through our multi-lines of defense and would get loose inside our network at home and rip my systems to shreds. Well the problem could be bigger, what if a virus was to get loose that was so nasty that it started taking out government computers. Pretty Scary thought yes? In response to the furst posting, i think that your fears are somewhat justified but not easily done. Granted, virii spread quickly but you need to consider differences in operating systems and hardware. To date, there have been no “true” cross platform and multiple arch virii or worms. Thats not to say that it can’t be done, because in theory it could, it just hasn’t.
