New features include support for popular NLE timelines, composition input from Sony Creative Media Services, and Canoe DAI (dynamic ad insertion) asset creation.

Traffic Manager is a complete end-to-end solution for managing the movement of commercials and syndicated content – from ingestion to transmission. It offers broadcast and cable companies a central point of ingest for material received from commercial delivery services, FTP, tape, and USB devices. A Web portal allows regional and local advertisers to upload their assets. Traffic Manager offers all departments a centralized view of the assets. Its rules-based workflow automation reduces costs by reducing the chance of human error and by ensuring legal compliance.

Vantage Cloud is a new product that complements on-premise Vantage systems. It allows users to quickly and easily spin up and tear down transcode farms in the cloud. It offers all the capabilities of Vantage, including automated transcoding, media processing, automated decision-making, and third party integrations – on cloud based infrastructure. It has a global reach and offers pay-as-you-go pricing at Amazon Web Services.


Telestream Captioning Products help you meet FCC Requirements

They have announced that their closed captioning software products meet the new regulatory requirements, including video captioning quality and accuracy rules set forth by the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

On February 20, 2014, the FCC set new, improved, rules for TV closed captioning to ensure that viewers who are deaf and hard of hearing have full access to programming and to resolve concerns on captioning quality. These rules apply to all television programing with captions, and address quality standards for accuracy, synchronicity, program completeness, and placement of closed captions.

The products from Telestream are fully compliant with the new FCC rules. Those who use the products from Telestream can be assured they are following all the rules. This allows them to focus on producing content for TV, web, and mobile distribution.

Telestream Announces Episode 6.3 Enhancements



Telestream Telestream is announcing at NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) that they are enhancing the Episode 6.3 products. Episode is a professional video encoder. These enhancements will allow support for x264 video codec bringing higher-quality H.264 encoding to all Episode software products. The Episode 6.3 will be integrated with the Autodesk finishing system software. Direct export from Adobe Premiere Pro provides access to Episode’s vast range of formats. It will also allow for centralization of encoding functions.

Episode also allows for the offloading of encoding tasks to other systems or to an encoding cluster. The Autodesk integration makes Episode the only encoder in its class that allows for browsing, monitoring and transcoding directly from the Autodesk Stone file system. This will allow users access to all of Episodes encoding capabilities. Episode is built for post production ecosystems and new media workflows that require high-quality format support. It has been developed to work with a single computer up to a workstation environment that uses both Macs and PC together to share the encoding work. It is highly scalable easy to use and is offered at an affordable price.
