While I really love Skype and use it daily, I am not so sure I am that big of a fan of video calls. Do we really need to see the person on the other end. Most of the people that we would use the Skype video feature with live in a part of the US that has no broadband.
It appears Skype has some security bugs folks and I would rank them in the fairly severe category. Skype has issued patches for some of the critical bugs so you will want to head over to Skype and either download a new install of utiliz the patch that they have put together. [The Register]

Rumors last leek led to speculation that Skype was being purchased by Yahoo, today it was announced that Yahoo purchased dialpad a relative unknown VOIP service. I am hopeful that Skype will not be purchased by Yahoo. Considering all of the quality employee's they have sucked out of Redmond recently the rumor last week did not make sense. [Yahoo]
