Scosche Introduces its Full HD Dash Cam at NES 2019

Scosche Industries, innovators of award-winning consumer technology, powersports, and car audio products and accessories, introduces its Full HD Dash Cam – Powered by Nexar. Together, Scosche and Nexar make it possible for every vehicle to become a connected vehicle, contributing information that helps our highways and cities become safer for everyone.

Scosche has long been a champion of utilizing technology developments to enable safer driving with its SAFETECH line of aftermarket safety products.

The latest edition to the SAFETECH family, the Scoche Full HD Dash Cam – Powered by Nexar, when paired with a smartphone and the free (for iOS or Android) Nexar App, records your drive and stores important vehicular events to the Nexar Cloud. In the event of an accident, a detailed insurance report can be generated and submitted directly to participating insurance companies.

With its 140-degree wide-angle lens and Sony low-light image sensor, the Dash Cam, together with a smartphone and the Nexar app, allows any vehicle to join the first crowdsourced Vehicle-to-Vehicle safety network.

When connected to the Scosche Dash Cam, the app runs in the background, so the smartphone can be used for other purposes. The camera begins recording automatically when you start to drive and stops when you do. It features a captacitive-touch “event” button to mark significant events and footage. The app also utilizes sensors in the phone and the camera’s 3-Axis accelerometer to detect and record accidents.

The Full HD Dash Cam – Powered by Nexar, will be available Spring of 2019.
