iDevices Introduces Switch at CES 2015



iDevices logoiDevices debuted Switch at CES 2015. It is a HomeKit-enabled connected plug with support for the Apple HomeKit. In other words, Switch is part of “the internet of things”. This Bluetooth Smart and Wi-Fi compatible connected plug is set to start shipping during the first half of 2015.

The iDevices Switch provides users ultimate convenience, comfort, and security for their home. Through a free iDevices Connected app, iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch users can easily control, monitor, and schedule products around the house. The iDevices Switch can be used to intelligently manage hundreds of appliances such as lamps, fans, humidifiers, Christmas lights, and stereos.

Plug the iDevices Switch directly into an electrical outlet. It will connect to a home’s Wi-Fi network. Download the iDevices Connected app from the App Store. Now, the person is ready to instantly control any product they have plugged into the Switch through an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

The integration of HomeKit allows for features such as controlling HomeKit-enabled accessories using Siri on the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Users can even create their own commands to control multiple settings. The iDevices Switch connects to a custom IoT cloud that so that users can access their home from wherever they are with no additional hub required. Users can also customize the Switch with photos of their homes, rooms, and products, or by personalizing it by selecting a certain color combination.
