  1. Hello fellow retired Navy personnel! I am a former intel cryptologic administrator.

While active duty my specialty was physical security in the intel “space” (or vault). I was responsible for the safes, locks, doors, alarms, and classified information both digital and printed. I have one question that I always seek the answer when discussing disclosure situations. HOW? WHY? HOW DID THIS GUY insert a USB drive into a CLASSIFIED SYSTEM and copy information? Why on Gods Classified Earth was the USB Ports activiated? When I was active duty, EVERY classified space from Navy to NSA that I walked into NONE and I MEAN NONE of the USB ports work. There where NO USB Keyboards, NO USB MICE, everything was plugged right in (old school). We didn’t even have CD-ROM BURNERS for cripes sake!

I just DON’T UNDERSTAND how and WHY BOEING, CIA, NSA, etc, would allow a computer system to access its classified network with out have basic hardware security disabled for SECURITY.

There was even an old CIA joke that went whats the best way to stop accidental paperwork walking out of the space? REMOVE THE PRINTERS. Some of the shops I worked in there was no physical way to print. Imagine that! :)

Thank you for your show and I completly understand your tip-toeing about this information. Good job! :)
