Shall We Play a Game? War Games Comes to Android

Many of you are probably too young to remember the 1983 movie War Games, and the name Matthew Broderick will only conjure memories of the guy hanging from the antique Ferrari California 50 floors high in Tower Heist.  But, if you remember that classic movie that introduced a generation of kids to computers and hacking then Android has a treat for you.  War Games: WOPR has launched and it’s time for you to destroy the world.

The game, roughly at least, follows the characters and plot of the original movie.  Game play involves basic puzzle-solving, but you are the computer playing against characters from the movie.  You’re goal is to launch your missiles and destroy the world.  There are more than 40 levels of play and in-app purchases along the way.

The game costs only $0.99, but it’s said that users will need a few of the in-app purchases in order to beat some of the tougher, later levels. War Games: WOPR is officially the licensed game of the movie franchise and it can be found in the Google Play Store.
