Makerbot is an Open Source 3D Printer that is unlike anything I have ever seen before. This is the perfect tool for the hobbyist or the person very serious in wanting to create and quite literally make the object in 3d.

Bre Pettis talks about the power of the Makerbot and makes the correlation of creating something at home tonight, sending it to a friend on the other continent  and by simply printing the design you can put objects in peoples hands over night.
