We are in the blogger room at CES in the Sands and it is very different than the press room. First its much much smaller so dependent on the number of bloggers here it could get crowded but we are in the sands a much smaller venue than the main hall over at LVCC. They have a flat screen TV up, and a couple of couches along with some tables with computers.
Missing is the back room with all of the press kits and b roll video. We were told we can go to the press room and pick up that stuff. But all told there are 12 computers to use and enough Lan connections and power dongles for at least twice that number of more laptops.
Sadly no lockers, I had suggested lockers last year when we did our post CES follow up with the team last year. Lockers would make life really good as we could stash computers and such and not have to hump it all.
With no one in the room the download speed was an impressive 17816kbs down and 5447kps so this may be the place to push quick videos during the day.
Update we pushed a video to Blip and it took about 10 minutes somehow they are throttling the uploads which is disappointing
So we will see how things go here. Nice to see CES supporting the bloggers.
