Podcamp NYC Blogging Post Very Light?

I have been watching Technorati all day looking at the Podcamp NYC blogging post and quite frankly I am very disappointed. The number of Blog posts coming out of that event so far has been very light.

I also talked to my team that was on the ground their and heard that the attendance was no where near the predicted levels which was pretty surprising.

Hopefully we start to see some more media come out of the venue but thus far all of the video that the folks at tvworldwide.com have put out is not Podcast Ready which is pretty shocking. No RSS and the only way you can watch the content is in Windows Media. Someone did not do their homework thats for sure.

I am wondering what the sponsors of the event are going to have to say considering the high number of sponsors and the non official low attendance.

I was told late in the day people were using Twitter but there were no links to people that were using Twitter on the Podcamp NYC website. This makes it very apparent to me that you need people live blogging these events to get the external bang that is needed.

The sooner podcaster learn that blogging is a absolute requirement in building meta buzz around things happening the better of the community will be.

Hi, I am one of the Podcamp NYC Organizers. Unlike traditional 2 day podcamps, this one day marathon was seperated on three different frloos, with sessions running continously between 8:45 am and 6 pm. With after parties and the like, I am not that surprised that the blog posts are lagging.

I can tell you that as of 4:40 am on Sat am, 1292 people had registered, with even more registering on site or during the day. It will take us a few days to get everything wrapped up, including who actually attended the event. I will work as quickly as possible to get this information to the community, but I can tell you people came throughout the day, some left early, some came late and stayed late- but as in any podcamp, attendees are responsible for their own experience, and the lure of NYC itself is also thrown into the mix.

I am reallylooking forward to feedback about what worked and what did not, especially since I am also on the Podcamp Philly organizing team- September 6, 7 & 8th!
