I know Tom and like the guy, and I respect what he is doing in Ireland, being a little bit Irish helps me migrate to his side of the fence with the ongoing discussion about the way O’Reilly and CMP have responded to their legal actions. All of that aside I am against CMP claim of Web 2.0 as a trademark makes me side with Tom and company on this one. CMP was dancing on Friday trying to do damage control but they did not fare very well.
It’s interesting to read Cory’s post as he is very careful not to piss off the crew and primarily the main man at O’Reilly, you get some real insight into people by reading their carefully crafted responses.
Personally I wish Tom good luck it’s not easy being on the receiving end of a cease and desist order especially when the company has deep pockets and legal folks on staff. [www.tomrafteryit.net]
