I have been bitching to my local cable company, who’s broadband service is through Tim Warner aka RoadRunner, about my terribly slow upload speed. Pushing all of these Audio files I am creating, is adding un-needed time to my production runs. I am willing to pay for higher speed but they don’t have anything available. The phone line I am on does not support DSL, so what is a fella supposed to do? They know I need more upload speed desperately, but yet don’t have a plan in place like other carriers do to support it. What is saving 30 minutes worth twice a week? I can tell you what it’s worth A LOT!
So if anyone from Tim Warner RoadRunner, and specifically the engineers are reading this at Oceanic Cable here in Honolulu you need to help a brother out. The 40kps push speed is killing me. For some of you, the cable companies are being smart and rolling out higher speed to consumers it just seems we are always last here in Hawaii. [gigaom.com]
