Hmmm… War is so ungentlemanly. In fact war is hell, I heard. War is confusing. A war shouldn’t be confusing, should it? We should be clear why we’re fighting a war. Maybe that’s why it should be the last resort. Maybe that’s why one person couldn’t start a war. Well, that’s the theory anyway. Hmmm…

Sounds like the author just hates anything that’s not like himself, and notably anything liberal or progressive, spending far too much time on the personal/physical attributes of Michael Moore and J. Garafalo.

I hope you don’t agree with his line of thinking. I hope you will take time to read the Geneva Convention (it’s all online) on the reasons and logic behind why it is wrong to torture and kill people whom you haven’t even accused of a crime (read the conservative NYT in the past week?). Moore turned out to be right after all, since Karzai is still on the Board of UnoCal and guess what, that oil pipeline through Afghanistan was just completed a few days ago! (In the movie, Moore had quoted a Le Monde report that Karzai was a consultant for UnoCal, but he’s a full-fledged board member.)

The Iraq “war” has now lasted longer than America’s involvement in WWII. But ask yourself: What have we accomplished? Not even conservatives will go to a recruiting office and sign up for the war THEY wanted, and the military is not only closing bases, but North Korea builds a new nuke every month. That’s real WMD, but we stopped looking for them in Iraq the minute we got off the boats.

Nothing wrong with having a political opinion, but use your brilliance to see through this author’s shallow arguments. He hates liberals, but the last time I checked, we’ve had conservatives in the presidency for 29 of the last 41 years; republican control of congress 19 of the last 23 years; large majority of governorships are republican; the media is overtly republican; the judiciary and supreme court are by a large majority conservative.

So to think Michael Moore (whom Democrats hate still because of his work for Nader in 2000) and J. Garofalo have more power than all the conservative dominions above is truly upside down. He should be mad at his own conservative friends and politicians. And if like yourself, he REALLY believes in Bush’s war, then sign up, pick up a rifle, put on the greens, and go fight. Again, if you really believe what this guy is saying and those people are pure evil, then sign up. You can blog from over there. Oh wait, Rumsfeld banned using email and computers to communicate back to the US a couple of years ago. To date, over 22,000 have come home without a leg/s or arms or their brain intact. Almost 2,000 others are now dead.

    And for what?
