I spend several hours a day in autocad and have been using the program for the past 5 years. I have tried several keyboard and mouse tools in the past but they have never really worked out real well. ZDNet is talking up a new line of products from 3Dconnexion that is supposed to make your productivity in AutoCAD increase significantly. They have a variety of products for other applications as well.

Well that pan/zoom thing might help a little, but I also had been working with AutoCAD back from the version 11 days in dos and I found you can be more productive if you setup your own shortcuts on the keyboard and make use of the mouse right click and turn it into the Enter Button. I think that controller would just get in the way, because as a drafter my eyes are always on the monitor and I rely on my left hand to type the shortcuts fast so I can continue my work. But let me know how it works out for you. Anything that increases the work speed on AutoCAD is a big plus.
