One of my kids has hit that age when she likes to listen to a lot of music. I have paid for a streaming service for her and she has a purchase limit on the number of songs per month she can listen to. My wife does streaming video with her family in Japan. I stream radio shows that are not available in my area. So I guess we are a modern digital family. But I would be severely pissed off if I received a notice from Time Warner that I was using to much bandwidth. I have been on a cable modem for 6 years. But it seems rival Comcast has stepped up it’s notices to consumers saying they are using to much bandwidth. But when users call they are not being told how much too much is.
Recently while on travel I saw a Comcast commercial advertising their service which highlighted Music and Video streaming and announcing they where doubling the speed for all users. This is a company that wants it both ways. [SecurityFocus]
