Putting my money where my mouth is I purchased Trillian Pro yesterday and am running the the Beta Version 2.0. What I am doing is kicking myself in the butt wondering why I have not been using this program all along. My toolbar is all cleaned up gone is Yahoo IM, MSN Messenger, ICQ & AIM very nice and guess what it is not a memory pig. [Trillian]
So for those of you that are still running several IM clients on your toolbar get rid of them today and support the gang over at Trillian. The gang at Redmond appear posed to license the interface to MSN Messenger to third party companies like the makers of Trillian. According to a source at Microsoft they have stated they doubt they will be ready to license the interface by the imposed change over date of Oct 15th so it is now up to users to voice there opinions to Microsoft to keep the Licensing fee either free or reasonable. trillian is the best chat proggie ever. it has so many features that other chat clients simply lack. i’ve been using it since the first 0.7 versions and i’ve recommended it to all of my friends and they all just love it. the creators of trillian did the perfect job. hopefully the microsoft or aol will not block the trillian from their scripts.
