The worm that has been spreading is poised to begin attacking Microsoft’s Windows update site on Saturday. The Denial of Service attack will be launched from all of the PC’s infected with the worm.
From a Geek standpoint I am surprised that the writer of the worm waited so long. Microsoft and IT managers around the world have time to prepare which should allow them to put blocks into place to stop the damage. [ZDNet]
