Ridiculous demands of an license Fee of $699.00 from users of Linux and demands of payment from government agencies using Linux and then trying to collect $32.00 from all TiVo users has many more than irritated. SCO is so desperate to save there own skins that they are playing this trump card. This posturing is an attempt to regain lost market share for the supposed lost revenues that resulted from the alleged IBM released code segments to Linux. SCO are indeed being stupid with this. They have little hope of winning, will lose a lot of money on lawyers, and will piss off the whole industry (as you point out). They’ll be dead by December…
