Fossil Wrist PDA delayed to 30 Sept.

I was very excited to see how well this product would do on the market, as a future reference. Who knows, maybe that will be the ‘fad’ when I have kids. Anyways, Fossil broke their promise.

“Watch maker Fossil has put back the release of its much-anticipated Palm OS-based Wrist PDA to September, according to Amazon.com

The delay is surely something of an embarrassment for the company, which recently promised the product would ship on 30 June.” [The Register]

I took a really good look at the pictures of these watches and I LOVE the idea. I am not sure that they will translate into functional devices. The screens are awfully small and I can’t imagine doing graffiti on the wrist of my non dominant hand. This device, as I imagine, becomes much less convenient when you have to take it off to add data to it. I don’t see how ergonomic it would be to really use it daily. Unfortunately if it continues to be delayed *grumble* I can’t even go to the local department store and check it out. I guess we’ll see what happens.
