Every once in a while I go back and read the original mission statement I came up with for this site. A reader posted part of that mission statement on there web site yesterday and I think every now and again it is good to be reminded what Geek News Central is all about. We may not always meet every objective and it is good to remind ourselves of the focus of this site. Not to say we can’t be flexible and take up new crusades. I encourage our editors to be VOCAL and to “put there own spin it” this does not necessarily mean to hype the story up but we try to make the post interesting. For those of you that have never clicked on that little “about” button on top here is the excerpt that truly counts:
“To create a quality site for people of all ages and backgrounds. The site is managed by a small group of editors. None of the writers at Geek News Central are literary poets nor are they reporters. All editors are regular Joe’s & Jane’s that have similar interest.
This site was never designed to compete with the slashdot’s etc. The plan is to bring quality links and information to our visitors that may not otherwise ever be found. Tips and Tricks and Information that the average Geek is interested in. With our own spin of humor and commentary.”
Thanks for a great week the Mac crowd nearly blew our doors off but it was amazing watching the hit counter spin off it’s bearings. Those that have added us to your blog rolls Thank You and those that haven’t please do.
