I hate inaction a friend and I happened upon a man beating a women a few years ago. There where about 10 people watching and doing nothing, I was so pissed I could hardly contain myself. My Friend and I jumped in to stop it and after taking a couple of serious shots ourselves got this guy to the ground and hog tied him with a couple of belts and called the police. I remember screaming at the people on why they had just stood there.
Then I saw a guy with a camera. This was before digital cameras became the rage and he was beaming. I asked if he had taken any pictures and he said “a whole roll” I said you need to pull that out and give it to the cops. He was dumbstruck. Before it was over I thought we were going to have to wrestle him for the film. He didn’t want to give up the film. Turns out he had 36 exposures and was shooting pictures before we arrived on the scene.
But anyway after reading the story about the women that was raped in the UK and that people had used there cell phone cameras to possibly film portions of it. I am again shocked to the core. When will be wake up and stop such cowardliness. [The Age] [BBC]
You need three people: two people to beat the one guy up and one to take pictures of it all. But as a civic duty, subduing the bad boy ought to be priority 1… pics come after. :)
