California Supreme Court hears DeCSS Case

This story is on every major website and I just want to point out some links for you all to follow to get the lowdown on how it went. [Reuters] [Security Focus] [ZDNet] [TechDirt]

The TechDirt article hits the nail on the head. What is so ludicrous about this case is that you can find DeCSS almost anyplace on the net. After the MPAA won the www.2600.org case they wanted to insure that they had as many court rulings as possible in there favor to be able to quote those cases in prosecution cases in the future. They don’t give a damn about this guy they went over he was just the 1 of 100’s of thousands that have the program available on the Net.
