The movie studio’s need to get a grip. They have filed lawsuits against a bunch of other software companies. This is an attempt to shutdown any vendor that has a DVD copying program. Once again fair use is under attack and unless a judge someplace puts a stop to this nonsense it will not be long before we will have to ask permission to speak. I almost bet in 10 years we will no longer be able to buy DVD media we will have to pay each time we want to watch a movie as it will all be delivered digitally encrypted.
This could expand to the point where it is a federal crime to record TV Programs. Think I’m joking think about it for a bit. [ZDNet]
