Also, If you’re looking for a good spyware removal program, I would suggest Adaware. In the past it has worked flawlessly for me and has a great easy-to-use interface.
I too have the same problem with the websiteviewer…Clicked on a link a girl sent me from yahoo messenger and it downloaded automaticaly..Spy Bot Seach and Destroy took care of the toolbar that was put up on every web page but i still get directed to http://www.directplugin.com every time i click on any link for mail, profiles, or etc through yahoo. This is of course a porn site. If i check my mail through web browser everything is fine.. Does anyone know how to get ride of my problem?
The way you solve the problem, is to boot up in safe mode with networking. Then, download spybot Search & Destroy. Have it fix all of your problems. Then, go to program_files directory and delete the contents of the websiteviewer directory. Once that happens, your popup windows will go away. However, you will still have an error message come up whenever you boot up and I don’t know how to fix that just yet. It will, however stop the porn from flowing.

nex thing that happened was my screen was full of porn-pop ups.

i am having a problem. all of a sudden a message pops up saying “please wait loading plugin” then a porn site pops up! i found a folder in my computer that says websiteviewer, i tried to delete it but it says access denied (filename) check and see if disk is full or write-protected. help this pops up every ten minutes or so
OK now i went to a web sight and i got the information on how to get out of safe mode,it worked but now it has everything all small and tinyer. ANY INFO ON HOW TO GET EVERYTHING BACK TO NORMAL?

This site will tell you who owns the ClientMan server, http://www.odysseusmarketing.com, which is owned by Walt Rines. For those of you too young to remember, Walt Rines and his infamous business partner and friend, Sanford Wallace, have been terrorizing the internet for the past couple of decades with adware/spyware/browser hijacks/trojans, etc.
ClientMan also owns these following sites, according to http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.txt: bar.baidu.com, firstbookmark.com, and default-homepage-network.com. These sites are notorious for browser hijacks and adding malicious adware onto your computer.
If you do some searches on Walt Rines and Sanford Wallace, you’ll begin to understand all the history behind it.

Got this asswipe of a thing on my system and don’t know how it got there. Another site recommended spybot but did not solve the problem. win 2000 pr sts in safe mode w/ command prompt. Used DOS commands to get rid of the files. Done.

Thank all of you for your help with getting rid of the clientman file. I had exactly the same problems that you described here. Finally it worked out to delete it in the safe modus. Thank you for the idea and that you share it with other peolpe.

I too have this Clientman however, I don’t get the error message. I get a box that says “Connection Failure” with the word sh_t in the upper left corner. It just keeps appearing and interrupts my games. I am also having trouble with Windows Explorer. When I close it I get an error and my desktop disappears then I am prompted to recover it. I don’t know that any of this has to do with Clientman but I am going to get rid of it none the less. We shall see. Thanks for the help.

I had to drop you a line to say thanks for the great advise on how to get rid of that useless ‘Client Man’ file. I went into Safe Mode as you suggested and this time it deleted beautifully. Now, no more pop-up windows saying: “msvc32i Application…needs to close”. Back to trouble-free surfing. I am buying you a beer if we ever meet!

When I right click on it to expunge this dreaded file, it looks like all will be well until up comes a window with a big red X saying: “Cannot delete msckin.exe: Access is denied. Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use”. What the heck do I do now? I continually get that msvc32i Application window when I go to the Net like everyone else has complained about. Please help!!! Thanks!

I too have just finished removing clientman and getting adaware. Thanks so much for the help, my computer is now back to normal. I can even browse my photos file again.
Thank you to SuperBobby and Aaron. I downloaded the FREE version of WinZip, went to the oddyseusmarking web site and followed the instructions and finally got rid of Clientman. Then I downloaded the FREE version of Adaware 6.0 and ran it. It cleaned up my entire computer. It has been driving me crazy for weeks. If Adaware works well, I’ll even purchase the upgrade.

I have a problem with the msvci32i MFC Application. Every time i turn on my computer a message says that msvci32i Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. I dont know what the msvci32i MFC Application is therefore i never close it,afraid that it may damage my computer so i just ignore it while i use the computer. Is it ok to close it ???

I found your answer. When you downloaded a previous application from the web, you inadvertently downloaded a useless program called ClientMan. You need to remove it. Go to and it will give you instructions on how to remove the folder from your hard drive. Once the folder is removed, no more error message. I had the same problem and now it’s resolved.
I have ClientMan under my C: programs menu and the Files in the folder are MFC. Everytime I start up my computer, I get a screen itinializing MSVC32i MFC application. How can Iget rid of this. Please Email me and let me know. Thanks a lot.
