Have you ever been on the phone when lightning strike or actually had your phone blown up or worse your Computer or Fax machines. Luckily here in Hawaii we do not have to worry about lightning as I have yet to see a lightning storm in the 5 years I have been here. But for those of you living in the part of the world that has lightning strikes this device will probably be protecting your devices in the future. [Courier Mail]

I’d have to see it to believe it, given that lightning has been known to jump large airgaps. A small electronic circuit might be as successful as a pebble is able to stop a car on the highway.
Hawaii? You can see in a rainstorm? I lived there for five years and it’s the first place I’ve visited that you risk drowning if you stand still in a parking lot (my shower puts out less water!)(i.e., It rains HEAVILY there.)
