Due to everything I do and all the people I talk to I have to run 2-3 instant messengers. I really wish I could run one interface that will link them all together. As we all know the in-fighting of what I consider the Big Three has prevented this. If MSN, AOL and ICQ could just cross thru one Interface there would be a lot more happy people out there.
If Endeavors Technology software solution works as they say it does we could be on the road to seeing this happen. I am sure at least 2 of the Big 3 will fight this interface as this would dry up and advertisements they force down our throats. [Cnet News.com]
Gaim does the same as well – it integrates AIM, Yahoo, ICQ, IRC, and MSN on the same buddy list. It was originally for linux, but the windows build is quite nice. I use it all the time and have never had any problems. It’s a nice replacement even if you just use AIM, as well.
