We search for a great deal of information on Google for that matter many of use a variety of Search Engines. But have you ever tried to dig up dirt on yourself. Try searching for your address, phone number, SSN, Insurance Account Number, Bank Account Number and the varied other items that identify you as you to the world you do business in.
Seems people are starting to find all kinds of things that should never be outside a corporate firewall. Take for example medical reports of medicines and psychotherapy reports. Nice stuff to have people find about you by simply searching for it on those wonderful search engines that spider anything.
Many search engines do not go so far as allowing a SSN sequence like this to be entered and searched on xxx-xx-xxxx but I bet if you get creative you can find ways to search for your SSN and the other various accounts. You never know what you may find. If you find nothing and you have dug really hard then those companies and web sites you deal with have done a pretty good job securing your information form the search engines. [Wired]
